DESCRIPTION:We’ve twisted the Gingerbread House tradition Yukon-style into the Holiday Dakwakada tradition. Transportation across this Yukon landscape requires reliable supplies. From time immemorial to the present day\, a high cache functions as a place to keep your supplies safe and dry. \nImagine the feeling as you walk up to your high cache on a cold winter day. Pride. You may have built it\, you certainly cared for it. You worked hard and planned ahead. \nKnowing what you need is caring for yourself. \n~~~~ \nJoin YTM and Da Kų Cultural Centre to craft your own cookie and candy High Cache (Dakwakada). \n4:00 – Making the Base\n5:00 – Stew and Bannock Dinner (while the icing hardens)\n5:30 – Adding the Top and Fancy Decorating \nA second Dakwakada & Dinner takes place from 4-6 on December 17th at the Da Kų Cultural Centre in Haines Junction. \n~~~~ \nAs capacity is limited for this event\, visit our facebook page to reserve your spot!
