SUMMARY:Ride for Dad @ Shipyards Park
DESCRIPTION:This event raises funds and awareness to help fight prostate cancer in the local community. The group of motor cyclists will be starting in Shipyards Park main parking lot\, before parading through downtown and up to the Yukon Transportation Museum. After some highway driving\, the event will conclude back at Shipyards Park with dinner and awards. Registration for drivers is Friday June 10th from 4-7 at Shipyards Park\, or online at RideForDad.ca/Yukon. The event runs from 9am-7pm\, and the parade starts at 11 am. SUMMARY:Transportation Hall of Fame Ceremony
DESCRIPTION:The Yukon Transportation Museum and Government of Yukon’s Department of Highways and Public Works are dedicated to honouring the most significant contributors to the development of Yukon transportation. These are people who have dedicated their lives to shaping\, improving conditions for road\, rail\, water and air travel in the territory. This ceremony is meant to honour all nominees from the past years\, and declare those newly inducted into the Hall of Fame. It runs from 5-10 pm\, and is held in the main exhibit gallery of the Yukon Transportation Museum – all are welcome to attend this richly celebratory evening!
