We don’t know what Helen will create with our Whitehorse Street Piano, nevertheless it will be a vehicle of expression.
Come and watch her work with our stand-up grand and the theme of Yukon transportation from Tuesday August 22nd through Saturday August 26th roughly 10-6. Call us at 668-4792 if you want to know her schedule of the day. Regular museum admission applies.
Look what we found inside the piano – what a great business card!
Helen O’Connor: Originally from Ontario, O’Connor studied visual art at the University of Western Ontario and at the Ontario College of Art. During her studies, O’Connor was introduced to techniques for oriental and western papermaking by professor, Helmut Becker. Inspired by Becker’s work, which utilizes paper innovatively as a vehicle of expression, O’Connor began a journey of her own paper explorations.
