Have you ever heard of the Isle of Raasay in the Hebrides in Scotland? We hadn’t either before this summer, when a wonderful guy from Raasay who “likes making videos on unusual stuff” made his way across the Atlantic and the North American land mass to our little museum to see the LCC-1 Sno-Train in person.
We have to admit, even we learned a thing or two from Calum Gillies’ brilliant analysis of the history of the R.G. LeTourneau company and its quest to build a vehicle that could truly go over any terrain — even the high Arctic.
Watch Calum’s fascinating video below, and just remember — if you’re looking wistfully at our museum from a great distance away, it’s more possible than you think to get to Whitehorse! If Calum can do it, then you can too.
